Grounded Theory
Despite the name, Grounded Theory is not exactly a theory, but a qualitative research method. The aim of the method is to produce theories and conceptual models through exploring empirical data on a topic, which has not yet been analyzed or theorised. Grounded Theory as a method is suitable for various kinds of qualitative data. The concept of Grounded Theory sometimes refers to data-driven research. The concept may also refer to a form of research, which uses the particular practices and concepts of Grounded Theory method. The practices include various coding terms and coding practices, which enable you to conceptualise the phenomenon, formulate connections between the data and the concepts.
